What is MUSOMI?

MUSOMI stands for Moi University System of Managing Instruction, the University's Learning Management System, reachable at http://elearning.mu.ac.ke/. Musomi is also the Kiswahili word for scholar.

How do I log in to MUSOMI?

Use the username and password issued with your university email account. If you are not able to sign in, email iodelsupport@mu.ac.ke from your registered address, quoting your registration number.

Is there a mobile app?

Yes. The MUSOMI mobile app provides convenient access to the LMS so learners can study from any place, at their own pace.

A unit is missing from my MUSOMI dashboard. What should I do?

Confirm first that the unit is registered for the current semester. If it is, report it to iodelsupport@mu.ac.ke with your registration number and the unit code.

Where do I find learning resources?

Course materials are attached to each MUSOMI course site. Additional Open Educational Resources are listed in the OER resource materials document, and past research output is in the Institutional Repository.

Can my department request a training session?

Yes. Use the Trainings and Orientations Bookings page to request a session for staff or students.

What is C CoDE?

The Centre of Competence in Digital Education, a multimedia studio and plenary facility created at Moi University under a partnership with EPFL, Switzerland, and Université Mohammed VI Polytechnique, Morocco. Moi University was the only Kenyan university among the six African universities selected.
